Former Rockstar Employee Accidentally Leaked 20 Seconds of GTA 6 Gameplay for Two Months Without Anyone Noticing

The hype around GTA 6 means that any piece of content related to it quickly goes viral. However, a short gameplay clip managed to remain unnoticed for over two months.

The Employee Shared a Video Portfolio Featuring His Work at Rockstar Games

In recent weeks, several supposed “leaks” claiming to show GTA 6 gameplay have surfaced online. Most of these videos were actually created with artificial intelligence, making them completely fake.

What fans of Rockstar Games didn’t realize is that a real gameplay clip from GTA 6 had been available online for more than two months. According to Synth Potato — in a now-deleted X post — a video uploaded by Benjamin Chue, a former Rockstar employee, to Vimeo two months ago was completely authentic.

Apparently, Chue shared the video as part of his professional portfolio, showcasing elements he worked on in games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Max Payne 3. What caught everyone’s attention later was that this same video also included a brief segment of GTA 6 gameplay.

The Video Revealed Early GTA 6 Animations and Environments

In the footage (thanks Notebookcheck), a man can be seen getting on and off a motorcycle with extremely smooth animations. The video also displayed a “Lom Bikes” logo, seemingly referencing public transport inspired by modern-day Miami.

Another segment showed a female NPC jumping out of a moving truck, demonstrating detailed animation work.

It has now been confirmed that these clips were indeed from GTA 6, captured during a specific phase of the game’s development. In one scene, the female NPC closely resembled Lucia, one of the main protagonists in GTA 6.

The most surprising detail is that the video remained public for so long, despite Rockstar’s famously strict control over all its projects. Even though this wasn’t a deliberate leak — just part of Chue’s work portfolio — the video has since been removed from the internet.
