Forza Horizon 6 Reportedly Has a Defined Release Window in Early 2026
The well-known insider Nate the Hate has revealed that the release window for Forza Horizon 6 is already well-defined, confirming earlier rumors. According to the information, the game is expected to launch in the first half of 2026.
Although this is still a fairly broad time frame, it gives a more concrete idea of when the new Playground Games title might arrive, considering the team’s past release patterns and Microsoft’s 2026 lineup of major launches.
Of course, this is not an official announcement, but the source has proven to be quite reliable recently, so this report is worth considering.
A Time Frame That Makes Sense
Forza Horizon 6 was unexpectedly announced during the Tokyo Game Show last September, with a teaser trailer that revealed almost nothing about the game — except for its setting.
Fulfilling a long-held wish of fans, the new chapter will be set in Japan, making it one of the most anticipated entries in the series. Given Playground’s reputation for creating rich, engaging worlds, expectations are understandably high.
The development team usually doesn’t leave much time between a game’s announcement and release, at least in the Forza Horizon series. Therefore, it’s possible that Forza Horizon 6 could arrive by June 2026, even though no gameplay has been shown yet.
A spring or early summer release seems most likely, especially now that the crowded release window once occupied by GTA 6 has been cleared after its delay to autumn.
We might see a new Forza Horizon 6 trailer at The Game Awards 2025, or more likely during Microsoft’s Xbox Developer Direct event in January.
In related news, Forza Horizon 6 is also officially confirmed to arrive on PlayStation 5, but it will be a post-launch release following its initial debut on Xbox Series X|S and PC
