Fractal Design Ion+ Platinum 860 Watt Power Supply Review

Ripple

If you’ve been impressed with the results so far, then in technical terms, the best is yet to come. Across the entirety of our ripple tests, the Fractal Design Ion+ 860 only scored above 10 once.

Ripple, for those unaware, is essentially a reflection of how ‘cleanly’ the energy is being delivered and, as you can see here, the results are remarkably low. To put this into context further, the EU allows a maximum rating of 50 and, as you can clearly see here, this power supply doesn’t even come remotely close to that!
