Fractal Design Ion+ Platinum 560 Watt Power Supply Review

Fan Speed

With a 140mm fan installed, some may be concerned that it may run fast and, by proxy, noisily. Such concerns, however, are very removed from the reality here.

While running normally, the fan averages 400-500rpm and still remains exceptionally quiet. In addition, the hybrid mode doesn’t even run until around 60% load. If noise is a factor, then this power supply is whisper quiet even while working hard.
