All the attention recently has been to X79 motherboards and processors of late but not much attention has been drawn to the new quad channel RAM kits and higher frequencies that will also be needed. Until now of course, since Sandy Bridge-E packs a 256 bit Integrated memory controller meaning much more bandwidth than before. For example if if a motherboard is populated with four DDR3-1333 MHz modules, the system memory bandwidth would be a staggering 42,600 MB/s.
The quad channel RipjawZ will be available in speeds of DDR3-1333, DDR3-1600, DDR3-1866, DDR3-2133, and DDR3-2400 with the voltages of 1.5v applying up to 1866MHz modules then, 1.6v for DDR3-2133 and 1.65v for DDR3-2400. The kits are also available in a few different capacity combinations 8GB (4 x 2 GB), 16 GB (4 x 4 GB), 32 GB (4 x 8 GB), and 64 GB (probably 8 x 8 GB). Intel XMP Profiling version 1.3 is also supported as standard on the kits.
