G.SKILL Showcases DDR5-9200 Memory at Just 1.1V on MSI’s MEG Z890 GODLIKE
G.SKILL has once again pushed memory technology forward. Ahead of Computex 2026, the company revealed a 32 GB DDR5 CU-DIMM memory kit (2×16 GB) capable of reaching DDR5-9200 speeds with CL74-74-74-148 timings, all while running at the standard JEDEC voltage of just 1.1V.
In the past, reaching memory speeds this high usually required higher voltages, which led to more heat and power consumption. Thanks to G.SKILL’s engineering team and its careful chip selection process, the company has managed to achieve these speeds while keeping power use and temperatures under control.
G.SKILL Reaches DDR5-9200 Speeds at Only 1.1V
The memory kit was demonstrated during a stress test using high-end hardware, including:
- Intel Core Ultra 7 270K processor
- MSI MEG Z890 GODLIKE motherboard
One of the most important parts of this achievement is the motherboard design. Until now, extreme speeds like DDR5-9200 were mostly limited to specialized 2-DIMM motherboards. G.SKILL and MSI have shown that these speeds are now possible on 4-DIMM motherboards as well, making this level of performance available to more users.
This development is not only exciting for overclocking enthusiasts, but it could also help future PC gaming, content creation, AI workloads, and professional applications that benefit from higher memory bandwidth.
Visitors attending Computex 2026 will be able to see this memory kit and other new products at the G.SKILL booth.
