GALAX Launches a Single-Slot GeForce RTX 5060 Ti
Most graphics cards today are made in two or three-slot designs. These formats have become so standard that even low-power models use them, even though they could easily be built thinner and more compact without overheating problems.
A Unique Single-Slot Design
GALAX is one of the few manufacturers that still breaks this trend. The company has released a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with a single-slot design.
This model features 16 GB of video memory and uses a blower-style fan that pushes cool air in at high speed, while expelling hot air through the base of the card.
This design is similar to older graphics cards, such as the classic GeForce 8000 series single-slot versions. GALAX also released a GeForce RTX 4060 Ti in a similar single-slot format in the past.
The 8-pin power connector is located at the front of the card. Because it takes up only one expansion slot, this graphics card is ideal for very compact PCs where internal space is limited. However, it’s not a low-profile card, so height could be an issue in some cases.
The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti offers the same specifications as the reference model, with 16 GB of VRAM, making it perfect for 1440p gaming.
Its price is quite high, around $700 when converted from 4,999 Chinese yuan, but that’s the cost of such a rare and exclusive design.
