GameSir Unveils the Nova 2 Lite: Champion-Grade Control for Everyone

GameSir has just pulled back the curtain on their latest wireless game controller, the Nova 2 Lite. Co-designed with fighting game champion and brand ambassador, XiaoHai, the Nova 2 Lite promises “champion-grade quality” and is set to be a feature packed option for gamers across multiple platforms. This new controller is compatible with Switch, PC, Android, iOS, and Steam, offering a wide range of connectivity options: Bluetooth, wired, and a wireless dongle are all supported. The Nova 2 Lite is clearly aimed at both seasoned gamers and newcomers alike, but largely, it’s the retail price that’s going to grab your attention the most; It’s just £29.99!
Precision and Responsiveness

GameSir claims the controller boasts ultra-low latency buttons and sticks, providing “pro-level input performance.” This is further enhanced by a 1000 Hz polling rate, ensuring your commands are registered almost instantly, which should be a welcome benefit in fast-paced games. Adding to the competitive appeal, the Nova 2 Lite features a mechanical circular D-pad, which has been expertly tuned by XiaoHai himself. This design is specifically tailored for quick reactions and accuracy in all directions, aiming to elevate the gaming experience with superior responsiveness.
Anti-Drift and Ultra-Smooth Control with Hall Effect Tech
GameSir has integrated its Hall Effect technology into both the sticks and triggers of the Nova 2 Lite. The Hall Effect sticks are designed to deliver enhanced re-centring performance, leading to smoother control and superior anti-drift capabilities. To further combat wear and tear, anti-friction rings have been included to minimise stick grinding, extending the controller’s lifespan and guaranteeing ultra-durability. The Hall Effect analogue triggers are also tuned to provide unparalleled smoothness and responsiveness.
Of course, throwing around the word precision, and tuned, and a famous eSports gamer are one thing, it could all just be marketing bumf and the controller feels as cheap as it is. However, having used GameSir in the past, I’ve been pleasantly surprised with their performance and quality, so I’m willing to give this one a chance.
