GDC 2012 has record attendance of 22,500

GDC 2012 has a new record of attendance since it started, the new record is set at 22,500.

Along with the four other GI staffers that recently returned from San Francisco, I’m currently recovering from the GDC madness. After a week of panels, talks, and game demos, some stats have come in regarding this year’s show.

With a 17 percent increase over last year’s numbers, the 2012 GDC saw 22,500 members of the gaming industry and press swarm San Francisco’s Moscone Center. It was a great show, and it’ll be interesting to see how the numbers compare for next year’s show, which has been announced as taking place March 25-29, 2013.
