Gears of War Collection Coming to PS5; Official Announcement Expected Soon
The announcement for the Gears of War Collection seems to be just around the corner. As previously reported, the collection will likely be released not only on PC and Xbox Series X|S, but also on PS5. This was confirmed again by well-known leaker extas1s in his latest video.
After correctly predicting announcements related to Ninja Gaiden, extas1s returned to discuss the Gears of War collection. This collection includes the three main games from the saga, developed by Epic Games, in improved versions (likely in the style of the Ultimate Edition). The collection is expected to help reboot the franchise as we prepare for Gears of War: E-Day.
Gears of War Collection Reportedly Coming to PS5
Recently, Phil Spencer mentioned that from now on, Xbox’s multi-platform games will be presented with logos for all platforms they are coming to. This means that when the Gears of War Collection is revealed, it will clearly show whether it is coming to PS5 as well.
More than just a release for long-time fans of the Gears of War series, this collection could also be a way to introduce the saga to a completely new audience, particularly PlayStation users.
What’s Next for Xbox and PlayStation Fans?
The Xbox Games Showcase + The Outer Worlds 2 Direct will be streamed on June 8. According to extas1s, this event will feature several other games, such as Ninja Gaiden 4, a Persona 4 remake, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, Fable, The Outer Worlds 2, and maybe even Hollow Knight: Silksong.
However, the biggest news will be the confirmation that an iconic Xbox exclusive like Gears of War is coming to PlayStation.
