GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Now Costs More Than the RTX 5080
The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti has become one of the graphics cards most affected by the ongoing DRAM crisis. Availability of this model has dropped sharply, which matches recent rumors claiming that NVIDIA has temporarily halted production of the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti.
This is not expected to be a permanent move and would only last through the worst phase of the DRAM shortage. However, it has been enough to severely limit supply and push prices up — exactly what is happening now.
Prices Skyrocket Due to Low Availability

In the United States, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is currently priced between $999.99 and over $1,299.99, depending on the model and manufacturer. These prices now overlap with those of the GeForce RTX 5080, although there are still a few isolated deals, such as the MSI VENTUS 3X OC at $859.99, available in very limited quantities.
At these prices, the RTX 5070 Ti makes little sense, as buyers can get an RTX 5080 for less money and enjoy better performance.
This situation is particularly unusual because the GeForce RTX 5080 did not perform especially well at launch and failed to meet sales expectations compared to other models. In contrast, the GeForce RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti sold well initially and had no major availability issues.
Now, however, market conditions have flipped the situation completely. Limited supply and inflated prices have turned the RTX 5070 Ti into a poor value option, while the RTX 5080 has become the more attractive choice for buyers looking for better performance at a lower cost.
