Whenever we start to overclock memory, we first make sure that the memory is able to run at its stock settings and to rule out any errors with the memory and to make sure they are not part of a “bad batch”.
Once we have performed our normal checks we were able to enter the BIOS and increase the memory clock speed.
We were able to overclock the memory from its stock 2133MHz to an astonishing 2203MHz which may not sound that great to an enthusiast but when you look at the other aspects of our overclock, it makes it all very clear as we maintain stock voltage and stock timings showing that even with the memory running at complete stock, the speed was able to be pushed quite a bit further.
For users who don’t mind trying to push memory even further will find that loosening the timings or upping the voltage, or even a combination of the both may allow for a higher overclock but can lead to instability issues or the looser timings could lead to seeing decrease in performance.
