Gelid has been showing off its latest high performance cooling products at Computex 2012. The Gelid Black Edition CPU cooler is an aluminium fin dual tower design and uses a huge 7 heat pipes. Three of those are large 8mm pipes and the other four are 6mm pipes. There is also room for up to three 120mm fans, two on either side and one in the middle – the cooler comes equipped with two fans as standard, one central and one left (or right depending on the orientation). The central fan is 25mm thick whilst the outer fan(s) are 15mm thick to keep the width of the CPU cooler down. The cooler will be designed to be compatible with all modern CPU socket types, including LGA2011, LGA1155/LGA1156, LGA1366, AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2, and FM2/FM1.
