GELID Reveals Tranquillo Rev. 4 CPU Cooler

GELID Solutions has just unveiled a brand new version of its award winner Tranquillo CPU cooler, namely Rev. 4 Tranquillo. As the official successor of the Rev. 3, this product shares some similarities with its predecessor, but it also includes various improvements that were designed to increase overall cooling performance. The product is still based on 4 power heat pipes and a unique heat pipe configuration, but it also includes a series of new technologies such as Heatpipe Direct Touch, which ensures a direct thermal connection between the heatpipes and the CPU cores.

As for the heatsink itself, it boasts something called Unique Heatsink Shape Technology, which was created using precise software simulations and calculations that dramatically reduce overall airflow resistance. Then we have the Stacked Soldered Heatpipe and Fin Technology that ensures impressive levels of heat transfer. The 120mm fan comes with a GELID Pulse Width Module, while  Double Layer Blade technology distributes air flow with great efficiency at low speeds. This new GELID cooler is compatible with a wide variety of Intel and AMD sockets, including LGA 775, 1366, 1155, 1156, 1150, 1151 sockets and AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, FM2 versions. The package also includes high-performance GC Pro thermal compound, and it is backed by a five-year warranty. You can purchase the GELID Rev. 4 Tranquillo cooler for $39.
