Ghost of Yotei: Legends Gets Official PS5 Release Date

During the latest State of Play, the official release date for Ghost of Yotei: Legends was announced. The expansion for the latest entry in the Sucker Punch series will launch on PS5 on March 10.

Legends is a cooperative multiplayer experience, similar to what was previously created for Ghost of Tsushima. The expansion once again draws inspiration from Japanese folklore, taking players into a dark and supernatural world filled with vengeful spirits and powerful warriors.

In the expansion, each player can choose a class inspired by feudal Japan archetypes. Players will need to combine their abilities carefully in order to survive increasingly large waves of enemies and complete missions with multiple objectives.

A Cooperative Experience Rooted In Japanese Folklore

The settings in Ghost of Yotei: Legends include snowy mountains, fog-covered forests, villages, and other visually striking locations. The artistic direction aims to fully immerse players in the atmosphere of a fascinating and mysterious world.

Teamwork will be essential, as players must find synergy between different classes and skills to overcome tougher challenges and stronger enemies.

First announced last August at Gamescom, Ghost of Yotei: Legends will allow players to unlock new weapons and equipment as they complete challenges. A Photo Mode will also be included, giving players the chance to capture their best moments.

The combat system builds on the strong foundation already seen in the series, while adding magical powers and special techniques. These new elements highlight the fantasy and supernatural aspects of the expansion, setting it apart from the main campaign experience.

In other news, Sony confirmed that Ghost of Yotei has outperformed Ghost of Tsushima in early sales, with 3.3 million units sold in its first 32 days, compared to Tsushima’s 2.4 million in its first three days.
