Gigabyte AB350N-Gaming WiFi Mini-ITX AM4 Motherboard Review

Final Thoughts

Pricing

While not the cheapest Ryzen mini-ITX motherboard, the MSRP of around £100 is certainly competitive and shouldn’t break the bank for the number of features on offer.  I would like to see it just a tiny bit under £100, but who wouldn’t like to see their favourite tech becoming a little cheaper!

Overview

Another fantastic Ryzen ready motherboard from Gigabyte has graced our office today. While not the fastest gaming motherboard on the market, it’s far from one of the most expensive, and it’s super compact mini-ITX design is great for compact gaming systems. Gaming isn’t the limiting factor though, as with an 8-core Ryzen CPU, it ripped through plenty of rendering tasks with ease too.

Features

This may be a small motherboard, but it still packs a robust feature set that helps justify the £100+ price tag. The most prominent of those is the built-in high-speed Intel 802.11ac Dual Band WiFi, which also supports Bluetooth 4.2. Those who need wired, you can enjoy the Realtek Gigabyte LAN connection.

Small motherboard, big sound! The ALC1220 chipset is well proven, and if you’re driving a powerful gaming headset and/or speakers, it’ll provide you with crystal clear sound, 120dB SNR, and also supports Smart Headphone Amp.

More Features!

Tired of slow SATA SSDs? PCIe Gen3 x4 M.2 with NVMe support is on hand too, perfect for cutting those game loading times down to a minimum. While Smart Fan 5, Easy Tune, and RGB Fusion will give you plenty of customisation and tweaking to play around with for added performance and style.

  1. I have owned mine almost since its release.
Before the next statement, let me be clear, I had to redo the thermal for the Chipset/VRM (#neverStock)
I don’t see this bad of performance difference (mind you, 1600x with RX 580, same RAM speed) when vs the same (or near same) config with other non mini-ITX B350 boards.
