Gigabyte Aero 14 GTX 970M Gaming Laptop Review

CPU & Memory Performance

Cinebench R15

The Aero 14’s i7-6700HQ is capable of excellent multi-threaded performance and attained a good Cinebench score which isn’t too far behind the highly-acclaimed i5-6600K. This is a superb showing and exemplifies how impressive Intel’s mobile processor range can be.

Here we can see the laptop completed the WPrime 1024M benchmark in under 250 seconds and offered similar performance to desktops sporting the i5-6600K.

When it comes to memory bandwidth, the Aero 14’s 16GB dual-channel 2133MHz configuration is able to output great numbers and maintains read, write and copy rates above 30,000 MB/s.
