Gigabyte AORUS MASTER 18 Core Ultra 9 275HX RTX 5090 Gaming Laptop Review

Gigabyte’s Aorus is well known for offering up the best of the best hardware, from flagship graphics cards to motherboards. Their product range has consistently been at the forefront, known for blending cutting-edge hardware with premium design. Today, I’m taking a look at what promises to be one of the most formidable machines on the market, and most certainly the most powerful laptop I’ve ever reviewed, the Gigabyte Aorus Master 18.

Priced at £3,899.99, this beast of a laptop isn’t just a gaming rig; it’s a portable powerhouse designed for enthusiasts, creators, and anyone demanding uncompromising performance from their portable system. I say portable loosely, because at 18″ and crammed with flagship hardware, it’s pretty massive and unsurprisingly, it’s really heavy, and perhaps not the laptop you carry in one hand while you strut around town.

The Aorus Master 18 boasts the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, the fastest Intel mobile CPU ready to handle the most intensive applications, gaming and multitasking. However, the true showstopper here is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, which features a staggering 24GB of GDDR7 memory. While not the same performance as its desktop counterpart, this is still, by far, the most powerful laptop GPU on the market. Combined with a generous 32GB of high-speed DDR5 RAM and dual 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSDs in RAID0, ensures blistering speeds across the board.

One of the coolest features, however, has to be the 16:10 aspect ratio 18″ QHD+ (2560×1600) MiniLED display with an incredibly fast 240Hz refresh rate, VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, and promises to hit some seriously impressive colour coverage (100% DCI-P3) and accuracy thanks to its Pantone Validated and factory calibrated panel, which I’ll be putting to the test shortly.

Key Features:

  • Display: 18-inch QHD+ (2560×1600) MiniLED, 240Hz, VESA DisplayHDR 1000, 100% DCI-P3
  • Processor: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX
