GIGABYTE Expands Its OLED Lineup With Two 27-Inch AORUS Elite Monitors Up to 280Hz
GIGABYTE has introduced two new gaming monitors in its AORUS Elite lineup. The new AORUS ELITE FO27Q24G and FO27Q28G are both 27-inch OLED displays arriving at a time when competition in the premium monitor market is stronger than ever. Most major brands, including MSI, ASUS, LG, Samsung, and Acer, have already expanded their OLED offerings. Now, GIGABYTE is looking to strengthen its position with a focus on speed and color quality.
Both monitors share almost the same specifications. They use LG Tandem WOLED panels with a QHD resolution, a 1.5 million-to-1 contrast ratio, and true 10-bit color depth. They also offer 98.5% DCI-P3 color coverage and a Delta E rating of less than 2. This means they are designed not only for competitive gamers but also for creators and users who want accurate colors right out of the box.
The main difference between the two models is the refresh rate. The FO27Q24G runs at 240Hz, while the FO27Q28G reaches 280Hz. Both monitors feature a 0.03ms response time and support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. They also include VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification and several gaming-focused features. In short, GIGABYTE wants to appeal to both competitive players and enthusiasts who value deep blacks and high contrast.

The company is also putting a strong focus on durability. Both monitors include AI OLED Care features designed to reduce the risk of image retention and panel wear over time. They will also come with a 3+1-year warranty, an important feature in a market where burn-in remains a concern, even though OLED technology has improved significantly compared to earlier generations.
GIGABYTE also revealed another upcoming product. The company is preparing the AORUS ELITE FO27Q54G, a dual-mode monitor that will support refresh rates of 540Hz and 720Hz. While few details have been shared so far, the announcement shows how the race for higher refresh rates continues, even in the OLED segment, which was once focused mainly on image quality rather than extreme speed.
The OLED gaming monitor market is no longer a small niche. More brands and more product ranges are now available, pushing manufacturers to stand out with higher refresh rates, better panel technology, improved protection features, and longer warranties.
With these new models, GIGABYTE is aiming to strengthen its position by offering OLED panels, QHD resolution, and very high refresh rates in a 27-inch size, which remains one of the most popular choices for PC gamers. Pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
