Temperature
I measured the temperature both on load and when idling. To achieve load temperature, I left Heaven Benchmark running on a loop for 20 minutes.
It is clear that GIGABYTE’s cooler performed as well as expected. The GIGABYTE GTX 550 Ti remained the coolest card both when idling and on load. Although the graph somewhat exaggerates the extent of temperature difference due to the scale, it is clear that GIGABYTE designed this cooler very well. Unfortunately, we do not have any audio testing equipment for testing the acoustics of this cooler, however it was clear that the GIGABYTE GTX 550 Ti was the quietest out of all the cards tested when under load. On idle, it is hard to notice the difference by ear.
