Gigabyte Increases the Price of Its Graphics Cards in Japan by Up to 40% and Warns of Possible Cancellations
The PC component market in Asia is facing another round of price increases. After the recent price hikes reported in South Korea, the impact has now officially reached Japan. According to a notice published by distributor CFD Sales through its wholesale platform CFD-BIZ, Gigabyte graphics cards will see price increases of between 20% and 40%.
The updated prices took effect on August 1, 2026, with the new rates ranging from 20% to 40% higher than previous prices. Although the notice is mainly aimed at business customers and retailers, the higher costs are expected to reach consumers as stores adjust their prices based on existing stock and their own pricing policies.

One of the biggest concerns involves orders that have not yet been delivered. CFD Sales warned that orders placed before August 1 but still waiting for delivery are not guaranteed to keep their original price. If it is not possible to maintain the agreed price or supply the products under the previous conditions, the distributor will contact each customer individually to discuss a price adjustment or cancel the order.
The official notice does not mention any specific graphics card models or product families. Since Gigabyte manufactures graphics cards based on Nvidia, AMD, and Intel GPU architectures, the price increase could affect all of its product lines.
This follows similar price increases seen in other parts of Asia, including South Korea, where Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 50 series recorded average price increases of around 30% within a matter of days.
