Gigabyte Introduces the B360 M AORUS Pro Motherboard

New mATX Option for 8th/9th Gen Intel CPUs

Gigabyte has a new motherboard for users looking to build a system using 8th or 9th Gen Intel processors. This is the B360 M AORUS Pro, a step above their B360M AORUS Gaming 3 motherboard. For some reason, Gigabyte has decoupled the “M” from the B360 name this time. Most likely to differentiate from other companies naming their mATX motherboards with the same scheme.

The B360 M AORUS Pro features beefy heatsinks for the VRM and even has a heatshield for the M.2 slot unlike the B360 M AORUS Gaming 3. The colour design also has a lot more orange in it, although most of the board is still black and gray.

The micro-ATX form factor has room for not just one PCIe x16 slot, but one more physical PCIE x16 slot (running at x4), and a PCIe x1 slot. Aside from the expansion slots, storage support includes two M.2 connector slots. One of which supports up to M.2 22110 form factors and up to PCIe x4 speeds. Meanwhile, the other M.2 connector slot supports up to M.2 2280 form factors and PCIe x2 speeds. The speed is of course, a limitation of the B360 chipset. Additionally, the board comes with the standard 6x SATA3 6G ports.

One unique feature on the B360 M AORUS Pro is the inclusion of a CNVi WiFi upgradeable slot. This is an M.2 socket 1 type and shares bandwidth with the on-board USB2 header.

The rear IO includes two USB 2.0 ports, a PS/2 port, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports and two USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports. These USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports come in a standard Type-A as well as one Type-C reversible port. As for the display output from the CPU, users have a DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort to choose from.

The audio sub system uses a Realtek ALC892 HD audio codec with 6x 3.5mm jacks available. Lastly, an RJ45 Intel Gigabit Ethernet port is available for wired network connectivity.

Does It Support RGB LED?

Not only does the B360 M AORUS Pro support RGB LEDs, it has a number of options available for users. It has 2x digital LED strip headers and 2x digital LED strip power select jumpers. Additionally, it also comes with the standard analog 12V RGB LED header supporting RGBW LED strips.

How Much is the Gigabyte B360 M AORUS Pro Motherboard?

This motherboard is not listed yet on any UK or EU stores at this time. Although Asian and Russian websites have begun listing it, with prices around ¥699 in China. That is around £79 in the UK.
