Thanks to the release of the AGESA 1.2.0.2A firmware, which introduces a new gaming turbo mode for AMD Ryzen 9000X3D processors, Gigabyte has made changes to its BIOS, allowing up to 18% better performance when combined with the new mode. This mode, which was previously accessible only via BIOS, now can be activated directly through Gigabyte’s software, eliminating the need for users to access the BIOS every time they want to enable it.
Gigabyte now offers this functionality via the AORUS AI SNATCH software version B24.11.19.01. To use the mode without accessing the BIOS, users need to:
If users wish to cancel the process, they can click the “Discard” button to halt the action.
The X3D Turbo Mode optimizes performance through intelligent core distribution, bandwidth tuning, and power balancing. This results in up to an 18% performance improvement for the AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors, providing a significant advantage for gamers. Currently, this feature is available for the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, but future AMD processors featuring 3D V-Cache are expected to support the feature as well.
The AORUS AI SNATCH version B24.11.19.01 also offers forward compatibility with AMD’s upcoming platforms, further ensuring that the feature remains relevant for future gaming technologies.
