Gigabyte RTX 4070 Gaming OC Graphics Card Review

How Much Does it Cost?

Of course, the cost of graphics cards is a little all over the place these days, so while I won’t go too deeply into the price analysis right now, you can expect to find stock around £50 over the MSRP of the founder cards, and you can find the latest stock and prices on the Gigabyte RTX 4070 Gaming OC graphics card on Amazon here.

Overview

So I think it’s pretty clear to see that the Gaming OC from Gigabyte does harness the potential of the RTX 4070 and pushes it slightly further thanks to its pre-factory overclock, though there is a downside. The extra power limit seemingly doesn’t make much, if any difference, and when running F1, it didn’t really utilise that extra power at all.

Overall, the cooler does an amazing job and while it does run a little louder than what a Founders card would, the proof is in the pudding when it comes to the temperatures which, even when overclocked, were frankly amazing, especially in terms of the memory which was extremely low in comparison.

The design as I mentioned is tried and tested and though I don’t have confirmed pricing, you could expect to pay around another $50 or £50 for a Gaming OC card over an MSRP-based card, and based on what we saw here today, I honestly think the extra is worth it, but I also get that not everyone wants a card that’s as large as this so a lot of it will come down to personal preference.

For now, I think it’s safe to say, that it’s the best RTX 4070 we’ve had in, if you don’t mind spending the extra cash on it, and that really will come down to the individual gamer buying it, and that’s why a Gaming OC really is the best “all-rounder”.

What do you think? Do you agree with my thoughts, or does that extra cash needed to buy a Gaming OC model just put it a little too far out of reach for you? Let me know in the comments section below.
