The Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 AERO OC 16GB is built on the well known, and highly praised Nvidia Blackwell architecture, and being just under the top dog RTX 5090, it’s obviously targeting enthusiast gamers who demand exceptional performance at 4K resolutions or extreme refresh rates, and sometimes both. Sporting a sleek white design, the AERO series is designed for those who want the high-end performance paired with ultra-clean aesthetics for white/silver themed builds. Obviously, we know the RTX 5080 chipset inside and out at this point, we know it can slay in ray-traced titles, AI workloads, and seamless content creation, but what we want to see today is how this latest edition holds up with its powerful Windforce cooler, Hawk Fans, and improved build quality.
Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 AERO OC 16GB
This graphics card sets itself apart with an emphasis on cooling efficiency and structural integrity, utilising the iconic proprietary Windforce cooling system. The setup features three alternate-spinning Hawk fans designed to minimize turbulence while deliving maximum airflow pressure, alongside a large vapor chamber and composite copper heat pipes that draw heat directly away from the core. The cooling is complimented by a reinforced metal backplate with a large vent cut-out to allow air pass-through, there’s also customisable RGB lighting, a dual BIOS switch for performance or silent profiles, and a handy anti-sag component is included too.
