Gigabyte Unveils World's Smallest GTX 1080 Graphics Card

Gigabyte is unveiling the latest from their engineering labs in the form of the world’s smallest GTX 1080 video card. This GeForce video card is even smaller than the Zotac GTX 1080 mini which we saw at CES 2017. It measures 169mm long while the Zotac mini measures 211mm. This is great news for those seeking a matching compact GPU for a mini-ITX build, without compromising in performance.

Gigabyte GTX 1080 Mini ITX Features

The Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Mini ITX has 8GB of GDDR5X on a 256-bit memory bus and has a normal and OC mode clock speeds. This normal mode is set to the reference 1733 MHz boost and 1607 MHz base. The OC mode on the other hand, has the base clock set to 1632 MHz with a boost clock of 1771 MHz.

Keeping the video card cool is not an issue with a triple copper heatpipe heatsink and a single 90mm fan. This fan has the same unique 3D stripe curve design that Gigabyte uses for their other graphics cards, producing 23% more airflow and runs silently. It even stops automatically when the load is low enough, and only ramps up when necessary.

The card requires a single 8-pin power connector and has a dual-slot height of 37mm. In terms of display connectivity in the rear, it has a Dual-link DVI-D, an HDMI port and three DisplayPorts.
