Gigabyte X99-Ultra Gaming LGA2011-3 Motherboard Review

Power Consumption

Power Consumption

At stock values, the Gigabyte X99-Ultra Gaming consumes more power than its closest rival and this makes sense given the higher default frequency. Rather bizarrely, the overclocked power draw is actually less than the ASUS STRIX X99 Gaming despite utilising more voltage.  I’m not entirely sure why this is the case but it might have something to do with the ASUS STRIX X99 Gaming being reviewed some time ago using an early BIOS version.
