Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming XTC700 CPU Cooler Review

While many enthusiasts love their water cooling setups, there’s still a lot of love out their for air cooling. Even here at eTeknix we have most of our rigs running on air coolers, such as the Noctua NH-D15, and they’ll run circles around many of the AIO coolers on the market, and they’ll run quieter too. Gigabyte knows this, and that’s why they’ve set out to create their own high-end air cooler, which not only promises great cooling performance, but also quiet acoustics and a competitive.

The XTC700 comes well equipped, with dual 120mm PWM fans, which feature a unique blade design for optimal cooling/acoustic performance. The big star of the show, however, is the cooling tower, which packs in three extra thick 10mm heat pipes, giving the cooler a max TDP in excess of 200W! Add to that the custom top plate, RGB lighting and support for all major modern sockets, and you’ve got enough reasons to get excited about what this cooler can do.

Attached 2 big 120mm PWM fans to each side of the heat-sink, will efficiently dissipate the heat from the CPU at a very low noise level. PWM function provides the accurate and efficient fan speed for the CPU, to optimize the noise reduction and the thermal performance. GIGABYTE patented blade fan design increases the airflow by 23%. And moreover, the 2 ball bearing structure will provide longer and more stable lifespan

The 120mm dynamic adjusting fan provides the silent operation. The airflow is spilt by the triangle fan edge, and guided smoothly through the 3D stripe curve on the fan surface, effectively enhancing the airflow by 23% over the traditional fans.

The double ball bearing structure has better heat endurance and efficiency than sleeve structure. Hence it will provide longer life time.

Packaging & Accessories

The box is neat and tidy, with a funky image of the cooler on the front that shows off that RGB-lit Xtreme Gaming top section.

Around the back and sides, all the usual technical information, which we’ve included for you above.

In the box, you’ll find, another box! This one contains all the extra components you’ll need to mount the cooler.

There’s a comprehensive installation guide, the mounting plates, and carefully separated bags with all the usual screws and bolts, a small tube of thermal paste, a mounting spanner, and the Extreme Gaming chassis badge.
