Power Consumption
For this test, we use a plug monitor and measure the power that is drawn from the plug. We are comparing the power draw of this board to some Intel H67 and P67 motherboards including the P67A-UD7 which should make for a good comparison.
The power draw indications show that the Z68 board uses slightly more power on idle, whereas the load figures show that the older P67-UD7 uses more at load, but this could all be down to the extra phases that the UD7 incorporates. Either way, we are still happy that the power draw at the wall is still relatively low and within our guidelines when comparing to other boards of a similar nature.
