DisplayPort 2.1 is the latest in the DisplayPort standard and GIGABYTE will be among the first to make use of it with their monitors, namely the AORUS F032UP2 which features a QD-OLED display.
Via VideoCardz, the AORUS F032UP2 is GIGABYTE’s upcoming display within their QD-OLED line-up and will be among the first to feature DisplayPort 2.1 implementation. This monitor will also feature UHBR20 which will allow for higher bandwidth up to 80 Gbps which is three times that of DP 1.4.
There are two monitors being launched, the F032U2P and F032U2, the former supports DP 2.1 whilst the latter only supports DP 1.4. They are both 31.5″ monitors which feature Samsung QD-OLED panels and a 4K resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate. These are clearly designed for ultra-high end gaming. The P variant will also be equipped with Mini-DP 2.1 and will support a higher USB Type-C power delivery of 65W instead of 18W.
GIGABYTE will also be releasing a 27″ monitor, the F027Q3 which features a QD OLED panel, 2560×1440 resolution and 360 Hz refresh rate. Unlike the F032U2P this monitor won’t feature DP 2.1.
As of writing there is no pricing or release date available for these monitors, I can guess they won’t be cheap though.
