God of War Trilogy Remake Announced With Teaser Trailer
During tonight’s State of Play, Santa Monica Studio officially announced God of War Trilogy Remake, a collection that will bring back the first three chapters of the series in renewed form.
The reveal came through a very short teaser trailer. While it did not show any gameplay or visual upgrades, it featured a message from Terrence C. Carson, the original English voice actor of Kratos in the early games. Carson confirmed that the collection is currently in development and will allow longtime fans to relive the story of the Ghost of Sparta in the original Greek trilogy.
Development Is Still in the Early Stages
According to Carson, the project is “still in the early stages.” This suggests that the release is likely still far away. However, he also promised that the next update on the remake will come with a major announcement, giving fans something big to look forward to. For now, patience will be required.
The trilogy remake was not the only surprise during the event. Right after the teaser, God of War: Sons of Sparta was revealed. This is a 2D action platformer developed by Mega Cat Studios, focused on the adventures of a young Kratos before he became the feared Ghost of Sparta.
While details remain limited for both projects, it is clear that Santa Monica Studio and its partners are planning a major return to the Greek era of the series.
