Before we get to the performance testing, let’s have a closer look at what we’re getting with a GOODRAM IRDM Ultimate SSD.
The add-in card isn’t feature-packed, because, why would it be? Still, it isn’t as plain as it could be. It has a couple LEDs at the top and can take M.2 modules from 2242 to 22110.
The rear side is plain without anything special. The black PCB is however well visible here. It also matches the black PCB of the drive itself.
The drive itself features a black PCB with a black sticker. That should match almost any system if colour coordination is important to you.
The rear side is utilised for NAND chips too.
The included heatsink features the logo along with the drive name on the top.
The full design is best visible from the sides. The extra surface space and materials should help the drive stay cool under pressure.
And this is how it looks once the heatsink is on the M.2 module. A perfect fit.
