Google today announced a beta of the 40th version of the Chrome browser.
The new release features a brand new way to manage your bookmarks, allowing you to clip a screenshot from the webpage you’d like to keep, as well as including a brief description, so you remember exactly why you kept it. Searching bookmarks is also a lot easier now too, as the search function now scans the text of the webpage, giving you much more detailed and specific results. You’ll also be able to share bookmark folders publicly with a link.
It’s worth pointing out that if you don’t wish to install the unstable beta yet, you can also take advantage of the majority of these features with the also recently released Bookmark Manager extension for existing versions of Chrome available here. As for the beta, it should be out soon here.
