Google has finally gone official with the Nexus 5. While we already know much about the phone already, let’s have it once more, this time officially. The LG made Google Nexus 5 features a 4.95-inch Full HD IPS LCD display having a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, which boasts an awesome 445 ppi pixel density. Under the hood, you’ll find Qualcomm’s top-dog, the Snapdragon 800, working at 2.3 GHz. There’s also a quad-core Adreno 330 GPU to power the latest and greatest mobile titles.
LG has put Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 to use, making sure that your display is protected from scratches and the occasional drop to the floor. You get 16 GB or 32 GB flavors with no MicroSD card slot, an 8 MP rear camera with OIS, 1.3 MP front facing camera and a 2,300 mAh battery which supports wireless charging. Dimensionally, the Nexus 5 is one of the lightest Full HD Smartphones to date. Weighing only 130 grams, the device measures 137.84 x 69.17 x 8.59mm.
Starting tomorrow, the Nexus 5 will go on sale in the US, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Australia, Japan and Korea. India is one of the emerging markets which will get the new Nexus soon. In terms of the pricing, it will sell at $349 / €349 / £300 for the 16 GB version and $400 /€400 / £340 for the 32 GB variant, on Google Play Store. Amazon, T-Mobile, Sprint, RadioShack and Best Buy will also offer the phone starting November 1.
