Google Reveals the 10 Most Searched Video Games of 2025; Call of Duty Missing, GTA 6 Surprisingly Low
Google Trends has just released its “Year in Search” report for 2025, showing the most searched topics across various categories over the past year.
Through this report, we can also see which video games have captured the attention of fans worldwide — and it turns out that ARC Raiders takes the number one spot.
The Top 10 Most Searched Video Games on Google
Here is the list of the ten most searched video games on Google during the year:
- ARC Raiders
- Battlefield 6
- Strands
- Split Fiction
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- Path of Exile 2
- Grand Theft Auto 6
- Pokémon Legends: Z-A
- Minecraft
- Roblox
It’s not too surprising that ARC Raiders became the most searched video game of the year. The title achieved great success at launch and in the weeks that followed. It drew a lot of attention from fans by offering a more accessible take on the extraction shooter genre, which has become very popular in recent years.
GTA 6 and Call of Duty’s Unexpected Positions
What might surprise readers is how GTA 6 ranks so low on the list. Despite being one of the most anticipated games ever, Rockstar Games has shared very little information beyond delays to its release date. As a result, public interest may have temporarily cooled.
It’s also interesting that Call of Duty doesn’t appear in the top 10. However, that hasn’t stopped it from performing well commercially — for example, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was the best-selling PS5 game on the PlayStation Store in November, alongside solid performances from ARC Raiders and Dispatch.
