Gran Turismo 7 Creator Hints a PC Port is Being ‘Considered’

Gran Turismo 7

While Sony has seen a lot of success with its PC ports (with the recent exception of Sackboy) there are still many titles we’d like to see brought over to the platform. Yes, Bloodborne will probably always be on the top of most people’s lists, but in regards to Gran Turismo 7? Yeah, I’d happily take that while we wait.

Will it ever happen though? Well, following a report via DualShockers it seems that Gran Turismo 7 creator certainly isn’t ruling it out. In fact, he’s even gone as far as to outright say that a PC port of the title is currently being considered!

Gran Turismo 7 is Heading to PC… Maybe

Speaking in an interview Kazunori Yamauchi expressed more than a little interest in bringing Gran Turismo 7 to the PC at some point in the future. Particularly, it seems, because he’s possibly more than a little curious about what they could do to not only achieve this but also in utilising potent PC hardware to see just how much further they could take this already visually glorious title!

“Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned title. There are not many platforms that could run the game in 4K/60p natively, so one way we make that possible is to narrow down the platform. It’s not a very easy subject, but of course, we are looking into it and considering it.”

Will It Happen?

For Gran Turismo 7 to come to PC, it will clearly require the blessing of Sony. In this regard though, I see no reason why they wouldn’t consider doing it presuming that the initial research indicated it would be a profitable venture which, so far, practically all of their PC ports have been (and by a huge margin too!).

At the moment though we’re in a bit of a unique position as there’s no clear indication as to what title Sony will port next. Based on the fact that it doesn’t appear that work has even begun on a potential Gran Turismo 7 port though, it seems that if you would love to check this out, you might have to wait a little while!
