GTA 5 Enhanced Edition Gets DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation Thanks to a Mod
The Enhanced Edition of GTA 5 has received DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation through a PC mod created by PureDark, a developer well-known for enhancing the technical aspects of popular games.
The recent Update 1.71 for the GTA 5 Enhanced Edition officially added support for the Transformer model of DLSS 4. However, it left out Frame Generation and Multi-Frame Generation. PureDark found this omission puzzling and decided to address it directly.
A Mod Designed for RTX 50 Series Cards
To solve this, he created a new mod package. However, it is recommended only for owners of NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPUs, as a different mod already exists for older GPU generations that adds Frame Generation.
Unfortunately, the mod is not available for free. To access the package, users must pay a small fee by subscribing to PureDark’s Patreon page, which costs $5 per month.
Official Support Could Be on the Way
While Rockstar Games already did much of the work with the latest GTA 5 update, PureDark believes there is a strong chance that official support for DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation could arrive soon.
It’s possible the developers haven’t enabled these options yet because they are still testing. Since the foundation is already in place, a quick update could activate these features and enhance the game even further.
