GTA 6 Gameplay Presentation Officially Set for August 27, Streaming First on Netflix
Rockstar Games has finally confirmed when fans will get their first extended look at Grand Theft Auto 6. After months of waiting, the studio has announced that the presentation will take place on August 27, 2026, at 3:00 PM ET.
Rockstar describes the event as an “extended look,” strongly suggesting that fans will finally see the long-awaited gameplay footage rather than another standard trailer.
GTA 6 Gets Official Gameplay Presentation Date
The presentation will be streamed in an unusual way. Rockstar has partnered with Netflix, which will broadcast the event live at the announced date and time. The content is also expected to appear on Rockstar Games’ official YouTube channel, although it is not yet clear whether the video will be uploaded after the Netflix broadcast or shown live on both platforms at the same time.
The extended presentation is expected to be much longer than the previous trailers. Rockstar could use the event to explain how the gameplay works, show how players switch between the two protagonists, and reveal some of the activities available throughout the game.
Based on how Rockstar has presented the event, it appears to be far more detailed than a standard trailer, giving players a much closer look at what Grand Theft Auto 6 has to offer.
In other news, GTA 6 is unlikely to reach 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X, according to former Rockstar developer John Ricchio, who expects a stable 30 FPS target.
