GTA 6 Scalpers Are Reselling the $400 Collector’s Box at Crazy Prices
With just over a month to go before the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, the $400 Collector’s Box is already attracting the attention of scalpers, who have started selling it on the second-hand market at prices much higher than the official one.
The product, available for pre-order on the official Rockstar Games website, includes several collectible items, including an alligator statue around 15 centimeters tall and a spoon dedicated to GTA 6. One important detail is that the game is not included in the box. In short, it is a box of items themed around the game.
GTA 6 Collector’s Box Doesn’t Include the Game, but Scalpers Are Still Asking Over $1,500
Despite the Collector’s Box still being regularly available to buy from the official source, many listings have already appeared on eBay with prices ranging roughly from $800 to more than $1,500. Some sellers are offering it for around $600, but even in this case, the price is still higher than the official $400 asking price.
However, the fact that the product is currently still available makes it particularly uncertain whether these resale attempts will be successful. The Collector’s Box does not appear to be close to selling out, and its high price has already pushed several potential buyers to give up on buying it.
For now, the situation seems fairly under control. It remains to be seen what will happen if the product’s available units sell out.
