Grand Theft Auto 5 is highly anticipated after being postponed a couple of times. The current release date is set for the 14th of April, which is soon, and we’ve finally got the minimum and recommended specifications for the PC version.
The game has been very well received on consoles and the previews we’ve gotten in the form of features and screenshots sure look impressive. So how much power do you need to run this game? As it turns out, not that much.
The minimum requirements are Windows Vista running on an Intel Core 2 quad-core Q6600 or AMD Phenom 9850 quad-core with 4GB RAM and a Nvidia 9800 GT 1GB or AMD HD4870 1GB graphics card.
The recommended specifications rise a bit, but not that much. You’ll need Windows 7 or better, an Intel Core i5 3470 or AMD FX-8350 CPU with 8GB RAM and a Nvidia GTX 660 2GB or AMD HD7820 2GB graphics card.
A 100% DirectX compatible sound card and 65GB hard disk capacity is needed for both and it comes with the usual warning that system requirements might change at any time and that AGP and integrated graphics might not work, just as mobile chipsets might not.
