I don’t normally care to post up stuff like this, but the next-gen and PC release of Grand Theft Auto V has been so hotly debated for so long now, that it is nice to finally admire what has been done to the game since its original Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release.

The game was indeed a masterpiece for the company, but limited graphics technology are a sore spot on such a vast game world, the potential was there, but we wanted to see it in HD, even 4K for those of us with crazy enough gaming PCs, we  want high resolution textures, mods, long draw distances and more. Now it seems our prayers have been answered and as you can see in the video below, the differences between the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4 release of the game are huge, and that’s given that the footage for the new edition is still months away from release.

Of course I also hope that the differences will be even greater once we get it onto PC, although even my SLI gaming rig is worried about what the recommended specifications may be.

Well I hope for your sake Rockstar optimize it for SLI. As far as I’m concerned single powerful card is always a far safer bet. I’m sure my single GTX 780Ti will do just fine if Rockstar do a better job optimizing the game for PC than they did with GTA IV which still glitches on that powerful card.

No one can doubt the improvment here.
I worry about the next 5 years though, PC’s have been doing that for a while now.
I know a £1500 is always going to win out a £500 console but even so.
I don’t think this gen of consoles are going to have anywhere near the shelf life of the last consoles.
    But even so.

Maybe not but you don’t have to spend £1500 you can do it for sub 800 and match a ps4.

It’s really only a GPU and you don’t need a £500 one to play those graphics.

      • Alistair Hardy says:

i just threw out the £1500 figure to get the point accross.
you’re right in saying you don’t need top stuff for those graphics
