GTX 1080

In addition to NVIDIA’s announcement regarding the GTX 1080’s huge performance boosts compared to Maxwell, they also showcased an unbelievable tech demo running in real-time.  The visual fidelity is almost lifelike and data from EVGA PrecisionX shows that the frame-rate remained at 60. More interestingly, the monitoring displays the GTX 1080’s unbelievable clock speed of 2114MHz which is by far, the fastest on the market outside of extreme LN2 overclocking. As a result, the GPU is geared towards overclocking and you should be able to leverage excellent performance gains on top of the superb stock numbers.

This really is astonishing when you consider the core never exceeded 67 degrees. Clearly, the new Pascal architecture offers superb efficiency and remains extremely cool under load.
