GTX 1650 Super and RX 570 Still Handle Battlefield 6
Although many considered them retired, the veteran graphics cards Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Super and AMD Radeon RX 570 have proven that they still have some life left in them.
Both cards, nearly a decade old, can still run Battlefield 6, although with certain limitations in performance and visual quality.
Battlefield 6 Performance on Old GPUs
The fact that they remain functional in such a demanding title reflects the game’s remarkable optimization and the surprising efficiency of these two pieces of hardware. At 1080p settings, these GPUs can offer stable frame rates if some graphics parameters—such as shadows, textures, and advanced effects—are adjusted. With good cooling and updated drivers, players can even achieve smooth performance during intense combat scenes.
Of course, performance isn’t perfect. These cards operate at the limit of their capabilities, which results in higher power consumption, elevated temperatures, and occasional frame drops. Players aiming for high settings or resolutions above 1080p will need more modern hardware.
A Second Life for Older Graphics Cards
Even so, the fact that Battlefield 6 remains accessible for components released between 2016 and 2019 is good news for those with modest PCs. It means that owning the latest GPU isn’t yet essential to enjoy modern gaming experiences—so long as the graphics settings are adjusted accordingly.
In the end, the “retirement” of the GTX 1650 Super and RX 570 will have to wait. Although they’re not powerhouses in 2025, they continue to perform with dignity, offering a playable experience that proves well-optimized hardware can still hold its own against modern gaming demands.
