What appears to be a Halo 4 cinematic effects reel has appeared online and dated the game for release on November 21, 2012.
The short video primarily shows off special effects and features very few obvious Halo references. At various points test tubes and other equipment is shown, perhaps as a reference to the Spartan Augmentation Program, but there’s no sign of Master Chief or any other recognisable Halo characters or locales.
However, the video starts using the ‘exclusive Halo Waypoint content’ intro and the 343 Industries logo can be seen on the bottom left throughout, suggesting it could well be legit. We’ve awaiting comment from Microsoft, which is holding an Xbox Spring Showcase event in the US this week. It has been rumoured that Halo 4 will finally be unveiled at the event.
