Halo Infinite PC System Requirements Confirmed!

With Microsoft and 343 Industries recently confirmed the PC release date for the highly anticipated Halo Infinite, while I daresay many of you are looking forward to this title, a few of you (while clearly still hyped) might be a little concerned as to if your PC is going to have the necessary hardware grunt to get the performance experience you want. – Well, following an official update to the Halo Infinite Steam website, we now have confirmed PC requirements, and, on the whole, they’re not too bad! Well… the minimum ones, at least!

Halo Infinite PC System Requirements

With Halo Infinite set to release on December 8th, we should add the very moderate caveat that the below specifications are still potentially set to be altered. In terms of providing you with a good indicative level of what kind of PC you’re going to need, however, these should be a pretty firm indication:

MINIMUM:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 RS3 x64
  • Processor: AMD FX-8370 or Intel i5-4440
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD RX 570 or Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 50 GB available space

RECOMMENDED:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 19H2 x64
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel i7-9700k
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Radeon RX 5700 XT or Nvidia RTX 2070
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 50 GB available space

What Do We Think?

While the minimum specifications are certainly benign enough for the vast majority of gaming PC owners, I have to admit to being a little surprised at the recommended and specifically in regards to the graphics cards. While neither the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT or Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 is hardly cutting-edge tech anymore, they’re not exactly slouches in the grand scheme of things either. – Given the presumption that these recommended settings are based on a 1080p resolution, therefore, it seems pretty clear that while Halo Infinite is in relative potato country in terms of its minimum requirements, it’s clearly going to need a fair bit of grunt should you choose to ramp those graphical settings up. We’ll freely admit though, the gap between the two lists of specifications seen here is quite substantial.

Put simply, it’ll be interesting to see how this one performs.
