HIS R7 250 iCooler Boost Clock 1GB Review

A Closer Look

Blue is the order of the day with the HIS Digital R7 250 as we’ve got a blue fan and blue PCB.

That fan is an 80mm PWM controlled unit.

Hidden underneath the fan we can see Elpida GDDR5 memory chips.

The back has easily accessible screws to the cooling solution. There are no warranty stickers so you should be able to take this off for cleaning as you please.

The unit has only one PCI slot but it effectively takes up two slots due to the width of the cooling solution.

The rear I/O offers up VGA, HDMI and DVI-D single link. 4K playback is supported only via the HDMI 1.4a port and it is limited to 30Hz due to bandwidth limitations.
