Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered 1.4 Updated Detailed

A new patch for Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered has arrived, bringing a host of fixes, improvements, and a much-requested feature: outfit transmog. Players can now customize Aloy’s appearance by equipping any unlocked outfit without sacrificing the stats of their preferred armour.

The update addresses numerous gameplay and technical issues. Mount controls have been significantly refined, with acceleration now working as intended, providing a smoother and more responsive riding experience. Motion aiming while mounted has also been corrected. PC players using controllers will see improvements, with Steam Input now functioning correctly even if a controller is connected after the game has launched. Steam Deck users connecting via Steam Remote Play will also find controller functionality improved. Additionally, DualSense controller vibration intensity will now be correctly controlled by the in-game slider when using Steam Input.

Audio has received a significant overhaul, with adjustments to the mix aimed at reducing excessive reverb in certain areas and improved dialogue panning. Various audio loudness and balance improvements have also been implemented.

For PC players using upscaling technologies, Patch 1.4 brings welcome news. Ghosting on snow particles has been reduced when using AMD FSR or Intel XeSS, resulting in a clearer image. A particularly frustrating bug at Song’s Edge, which prevented players using mouse and keyboard from standing up from a chair, has also been resolved.

Other fixes include addressing a crash related to applying coils, preventing unexpected Concentration activations, and resolving loading issues on the High graphics preset. Music will now play correctly during a scene in the ‘Deep Secrets of Earth’ quest, and a bug causing Nil to disappear during the ‘Cause for Concern’ quest has been fixed. Auto pickup functionality has also been improved.
