HP listing notebooks with AMD Radeon HD 7000M GPUs

The computer manufacturer HP has recently had a slight ‘incident’ by letting the upcoming Radeon HD 7000M series from AMD an available options for some of its notebooks.

Apparently this doesn’t concern only HP as some sources say that Asus has had the same ‘issue’.

While unexpected and most probably unofficial, this is the first public disclosure of a 28nm GPU. These GPUs were the Radeon HD 7670M and the Radeon HD 7690M. Both are based on the “Thames-XT” GPU which is built on the 28 nm process.

Some of the features include current-generation VLIW4 stream pocessors, a 128-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface as well as DirectX 11 support (rather expected don’t you think?).

Here are more specs for some of the upcoming Radeon HD 7000 series GPUs for your viewing pleasure.
