Immediately, the HyperX Predator is living up to its pretty aggressive naming system. The heat spreader is by far one of the most awesome designs we’ve ever seen. Using a multi-layer aluminium design, it’s got a custom cut design that’s full of aggressive angles. It looks like some futuristic weapon, or armour, or maybe a bit of both.
The lower section is matte black, providing a stunning contrast for the gunmetal top section and furthermore, the white detailing on the top.
The modules use a black PCB too, giving them a nice premium quality look from top to bottom.
Not of that cheap glue holding these on either, as the units are secured tight with chunky screws, ensuring reliable contact to the chipset.
Along the spin, you’ll find some frosted white RGB lightbars. They say HyperX, and that’s great, but I would rather they said PREDATOR just to keep that aggressive look complete; splitting hairs here though, they look fantastic.
With the modules installed on our test bench, the RGB lighting is exceptionally bright and has really rich colours. Sure, it’s not to everyone’s taste to have RGB, but it’s not like there aren’t plenty of options from HyperX to cater to that too.
