ID-Cooling SE-234-ARGB Air Cooler Review

How Much Does it Cost?

At the time of writing, no prices have been confirmed for the ID-Cooling SE-234-ARGB cooler. Based on what we know, however, it should have an MSRP in the region of £35 (circa $40).

So, about average for a mid-tier air cooler. What tips the scales heavily in favor of this design, however, is undoubtedly the amazing aesthetics. I honestly am struggling to think of a better-looking air cooler (that performs this well) for around this price!

Overview

ID-Cooling clearly has a really solid air-cooling design now that, if we’re being honest, they seem more interested in improving than revolutionizing. That isn’t, however, the criticism that it might sound like. The short version is, the old design wasn’t broken, so why bother trying to fix it?

ID-Cooling has, therefore, taken what they know and pushed it a step further with the SE-234-ARGB. Not only does the cooler itself feature a number of minor (but considerate) improvements, but the fantastic design and ARGB lighting really put the icing on the cake!

Should I Buy One?

The ID-Cooling SE-234-ARGB represents something of a flagship release for them and, might we say, for good reason. What ID-Cooling has done here is taken an already good design and improved upon it in every way you could possibly want.

I always feel somewhat awkward harping on about looks when, as we all know in coolers, the performance is far more important. What I can say, however, is that the ID-Cooling SE-234-ARGB performs every bit as excellently as it presents itself.

For this money, quite frankly, I can’t think of a better low-cost air cooler currently available on the market! A truly excellent upgrade option for those of you looking for a better level of cooling performance or simply just something fancier to reside in your system!

Pros

  • Excellent aesthetics for an air-cooler
  • Easy to install
  • Manual RGB controller for those without compatible motherboards
  • Exceptionally solid levels of performance
  • Fantastic value for money – Looks far more expensive than it costs!
